YouTube Comments Not Loading: How to Fix It
The comments section under a video spins forever, stays empty, or your own replies never appear.
Try these in order
- Check your internet connection A slow or intermittent connection often stops comments loading while the video still plays (The Windows Club).
- Reload the page Click the reload icon or press F5, then scroll back down to the comments (The Windows Club).
- Try an incognito or private window Extensions are disabled automatically there, so if comments load, an extension is to blame (The Windows Club).
- Disable or remove recent extensions Turn off anything you installed recently, and remove or repair extensions you no longer use (The Windows Club).
- Clear your browser cache and cookies In Chrome, open Clear browsing data, choose All time, and clear (The Windows Club).
- On your own videos, check your settings In YouTube Studio go to Settings > Community and confirm comments haven't been disabled by mistake (The Windows Club).
- On mobile, update the app and clear its cache Install the latest YouTube app, then on Android use Settings > Apps > YouTube > Storage > Clear cache (YouTube Help).
